How to Play
The goal of Mystery Forest - Match 3 is to match three or more identical gems by swapping adjacent pieces on the game board. Click or tap on a gem and then on an adjacent gem to swap their positions - if this creates a match of three or more identical gems, they will disappear and new gems will fall from the top of the screen. Mystery Forest is my new favorite match-3 game! The forest theme is beautifully executed with gorgeous graphics and ambient sounds that really make you feel like you're in an enchanted woodland. I especially love how the game introduces new mechanics gradually - just when you think you've mastered it, there's a new challenge to overcome. The owl character that guides you through the game is adorable too! If you're stuck on level 34, try focusing on clearing the bottom gems first to create a chain reaction. Can't wait to see what new content they add in future updates!
This game strikes the perfect balance between being challenging and relaxing. I've played many match-3 games before, but the magical forest setting and the storyline make this one special. The power-ups are really satisfying to use, especially the rainbow gem that clears all gems of one color! I found that saving your power-ups for later in the level rather than using them immediately often makes a big difference. My only suggestion would be to add more variety to the background music, as it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Overall though, it's a solid 4/5 stars from me - definitely worth playing!
